Helen’s interest in non-traditional forms of osteopathy and rehabilitation therapies, meant that she was one of the first osteopaths in Scotland to offer Shockwave Therapy as an adjunct to her osteopathic treatments.<\/p>\n

As an Osteopath Helen studied hands-on skills including Strain and Counterstrain,\u00a0 Muscle Energy technique, Myofascial and Trigger point release.<\/p>\n

An early adopter of Electrotherapy and Vibrotherapy<\/a>, seven years ago Helen was introduced and trained in the use of Shockwave Therapy<\/a> and evidence based quality rehabilitation techniques and exercises<\/a> by the Physiotherapist Cliff Eaton.<\/p>\n

Within 5 minutes of being examined, Helen diagnosed the problem. The issue was with my hip & glutes & she instantly started me on a session of shock wave therapy. Within a day & a half of the treatment the pain diminished from severe to an intermittent dull ache, I also stopped all the heavy pain relief prescribed by the doctor. I went for a follow-up session today & again had more shock wave therapy, followed by manipulation. When I stood up, for the first time in over a year I was properly aligned. I feel amazing!
